Social Graces School of Etiquette

In days gone by, etiquette was taught in the family. Families sat down to dinner together (“Children must be excused before they may leave the table”); entertained guests together (“Children must be seen and not heard”); and went places together (“Sit up straight, children”). Families taught decorum and, by example, gracious hospitality. Today, the face of the family has changed. Along with leisure life, many daily family occasions have disappeared. Our lifestyle has become less formal, more casual. It is often the exception when families sit down at the table for a leisurely meal with everyone present. We have become a fast-food generation. It is for this reason that Social Graces School of Etiquette was conceived and it is in this environment that it thrives. Social Graces School of Etiquette is an exciting hands-on, interactive life skills and etiquette program to teach the importance of good manners. The program increases children’s awareness and self confidence by teaching crucial dining and social leadership skills that play a large part in their development.
