Social Graces
Excerpt from a Forbes.com article that fits so well with what we do here at Social Graces School of Etiquette and why we do it...
Beth Breger, executive director for Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America (LEDA), a scholarship organization that helps high-achieving, low-income students gain admission to America’s top colleges, says part of the problem stems from the fact that a majority of campuses are set up for your average upper/middle class student, one who comes to school with a certain set of “soft skills” that disadvantaged students still need to learn.

Student update...
Well the Debs, Escorts and I have attended the theatre, symphony, opera, ballet and etiquette courses completed. Next step.... Waltz lessons. Still trying to secure a location for the Grand Ball. Our scheduled venue recently informed us that our date has been double booked and has nothing available. Suggestions on an alternate location is greatly appreciated as Topeka is a very small town. We are open to taking the ball out of town if necessary. June 28 is the scheduled date.
